Aldebaran’s music can be described as Post-Cinematic. He mainly uses experimental, classical, traditional and avant-garde elements to create musical soundscapes that always interact with imaginary moving images. This ‘’film-without-the-film’’ music keeps absolute balance between melody, improvisation and minimalism, in order to create strange but atmospheric, short soundtrack pieces. His main instrument, the bass – often disguised and transformed – lurks in the heart and core of most of the music. Delicate programming and sound design is there to showcase the stories told.

‘’Lethe’’ is the debut EP by Aldebaran - aka Antonis Kalamoutsos - that includes a careful selection of his minimalistic pieces: 5 short and somehow enigmatic, urban sonic poems that explore the theme of ghost-like memories – or their loss. The big city (could be any city) that surrounds most of us is the secret protagonist behind these stories. Its noises, lights and shadows intertwine with thoughts, memories and daydreams. In the end, music remains foggy and abstract, like a slowly fading memory.
